About Azniv Mary Galstyan

Azniv Mary Galstyan graduated from California State University Northridge in 2015 with Bachelors of Science in Health Administrations. She also has certificate in Medical Billing and Coding. She did her internship at Providence Saint Joseph for leadership management, at the baby delivery department. Where she got to shadow her leader attended meetings and learned about leadership skills. Also, Azniv did discharge follow up calls with patients who recently delivered their baby here at PSJMC, planning curriculum and supplies for classes, and surveying/auditing patients about their breastfeeding experience. Furthermore, she worked on excel, and helped to make PowerPoint presentations for classes.

After completing her internship, she got her first official job in medical field in 2015 as a medical administrator at Burbank Occupational and Urgent Care health Center. Azniv got to enter patient’s demographics and insurance information into the electronic medical record (Practice Velocity Galen, agility) and registered patients. Also, verified insurance and checked eligibility. Also, she helped and finalized making doctor’s first report and progress report forms for workers’ compensation and reported pre-employment exams/DMV DOT physical exams to the employers. Called and followed up on claims and did much more. Currently, at her current job she is a Medical Administrator working for Providence. She answers high volume of phone calls and enters patient’s demographics and insurance information into the electronic medical record (EPIC) and registers patients. She has gained so much experience in the past 8 years in medical field. Azniv is a dedicated administrative professional with successful experience in fast-paced office settings. Furthermore, she is a hardworking team player with expertise in completing various clerical tasks and offering staff support.

She has a passion in learning more and advancing her career. One day Azniv was browsing online and she saw a free workshop in coding at SheCodes. After she watched the training she loved it, she was very interested in the classes and started learning to code. She has a passion in technology, fixing things, making videos, and making websites. Azniv’s dad was in video production, and she assisted her father editing short videos. Also, in High School she took a video class and in CSUN music in films. She loved going to those classes every day. And now every day she waits to get out from her job and start coding and learn. Azniv is currently a student Web Developer with passion for creating attractive and interactive websites meeting customer needs and exceeding expectations. Excels in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
